Dr. Haresh Kane
FOUNDER AND MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Haresh Kane, M.D., CWSP, is the founder of Princeton Wound Care (PWC). Dr. Kane is a graduate of the University of Debrecen, Medical & Health Science Center in Debrecen, Hungary. In 2006, Dr. Kane completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a teaching institute affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. It was during his years as a medical resident that he became fascinated with the growing field of Wound Care.
After graduating from his Internal Medicine program, Dr. Kane joined a Wound Care practice in Southern New Jersey, providing high-quality wound care in the outpatient, subacute and long-term care settings. Using the skills he mastered, Dr. Kane founded Princeton Wound Care in 2009 to provide a brand of Wound Care medicine that compassionately catered to the whole patient. His continued passion for Wound Care led him to create a wound care facility in Princeton, New Jersey, where patients’ care could be continued in an outpatient setting. His areas of interest include the hyperbaric oxygen chambers and their various positive effects on multiple chronic and debilitating diseases such as Acute Brain Injury (ABI), Cerebral Vascular Accidents or strokes (CVA) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
It is his belief that hyperbaric medicine may unlock the key to healing many ailments and diseases and he remains committed to further pursuing research on hyperbaric technology with his wound care team.
Dr. Kane is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) where he holds an Advanced Certification in Wound Care for Physicians (CWSP). He is also certified by the Underwater and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) in Hyperbaric Medicine. He currently lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife and two young children and enjoys jogging and playing hockey in his spare time.
Dr. Joseph Cavorsi
MEDICAL DIRECTOR AT PRINCETON WOUND CARE CENTER
Joseph P. Cavorsi, M.D., is a general and vascular surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is also wound care certified and a fellow of The American Professional Wound Care Association.
Dr. Cavorsi has been involved in the treatment of advanced wound care since 1991. He is currently the Medical Director of the Princeton Wound Care Center in Princeton, NJ. Dr. Cavorsi is also co-founder, President, and CEO of the Center for Advanced Wound Care, in Reading, PA, a privately held corporation.
Dr. Cavorsi is internationally recognized in the field of wound care as an author, speaker, clinical researcher and consultant to the wound care industry. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, educational medical simulations and monographs with emphasis on minimally invasive venous surgery, growth factor therapy, bio-engineered skin equivalents, and evidence-based medicine using algorithms and protocols.
Dr. Cavorsi is also an accomplished dancer and ballroom dance instructor, teaching East and West Coast Swing, Latin dancing, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and more.
DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Cullen Chiu, MSN, ANP-BC, is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. He received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pittsburgh University and his Masters from Monmouth University. He is also a Certified Wound Specialist accredited by the American Board of Wound Management, and certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Cullen developed a particular interest in wound care during college and continues to bring that passion to improve the lives of his patients.
He started his career in nursing homes, building his knowledge of wounds, and went on to work at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. In addition to wound care, Cullen also worked with a urology surgeon where he gained experience in post-surgical care. Currently, he specializes in all types of wounds including venous, arterial, diabetic and pressure wounds. In addition to working with Princeton Wound Care, Cullen serves patients in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers throughout the state where he develops personalized care plans in collaboration with doctors and nurses for a comprehensive wound healing experience.
Recently, Cullen has spearheaded an effort to bring expert wound care into the comfort of the client’s home. By the collaborating with the Visiting Nurses Association, Princeton Wound Care is creating a concierge style service of providing world class wound healing at home. Cullen prides himself in compassionate, holistic, wound care and finds great personal and professional satisfaction in seeing a client’s wound completely heal.
Cullen grew up in many different cities leading to a love for traveling and seeing the world. He currently lives by the Jersey shore and loves to spend time with his wife, newborn daughter, and two dogs.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Bruce Cialfi has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, beginning as a volunteer with the local ambulance service at age 16. His extensive career background encompasses clinical, educational and administrative roles. Bruce has attended Paramedic School, worked as an ER Tech and taught EMS programs (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and adjunct for ATLS) as well as serving as a Chief of Operations for 5 years. He started a hospital based, rapid response, non-transport paramedic system where he served as Service Chief. He continued on with both regional and national facility positions, providing education and instruction across the country.
The last 10 years of his career has been solely focused on wound care operations and direction. Bruce is a graduate of Northeastern University, Boston, and is certified in LEAN Healthcare Green Belt. He has also had the pleasure of training one of the first New England hospital-based helicopter program flight crews and has served on several local and national regulatory boards. He is considered an expert in organizational development and workflow process, design and implementation. His hobbies include caring for foster and rescue dogs and a love of music.
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL EDUCATION AND FIELD OPERATIONS
David Matlin provides clinical education through in-services to staff at the various long-term and sub-acute facilities where the company provides wound care services. Additionally he is responsible for company operations taking place outside of the company's wound care center.
Prior to joining the company, David was a corporate lawyer with several national and international law firms, concentrating his practice on advising clients in the areas of general corporate, finance, transactional, mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters. During his legal career, he obtained a nursing degree where he gained extensive experience in providing wound care. David received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Florida, a Law Degree from the John Marshall Law School where he was a member of the Law Review, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from Seton Hall University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
David enjoys playing tennis, biking and hiking with his family.
